SAGU Football excited about 2016 recruiting class
Waxahachie, Texas- February 2, 2016- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) football team is announcing their 2016 recruiting class. The Lions have 36 athletes committing on National Signing Day .
鈥淲ith this class we are filling the holes that we lost with graduating seniors,鈥 explains offensive coordinator Paul Hansen , 鈥淭his class is bringing more depth to the team.聽 They are adding more size up front and speed at the skill positions.鈥

The 2015 season was the winningest season on record for SAGU.聽 The Lions went 8-3 and won the NCCAA Victory Bowl.聽 SAGU also had two NAIA All-American players in 1 st team selection D鈥橵onn Brown and 2 nd team selection Carl Morgan .聽 Both Brown and Morgan will return for the 2016 season.
